This series of paintings was born out of a deep need to express my love for travel, movement, and discovery. After the forced lockdown, I realized how essential freedom and openness are for self-expression. Wandering can be full of joy and adventure, but in the end, all our journeys somehow lead us home. Since ancient times, people have searched for a place where they feel good—where they can truly be themselves. Often, this is connected to where they were born and where they grew up. It is important to know where we come from, because only then can we understand who we are and why we behave the way we do. Our environment shapes us, and I know who I am because I know where I come from. The place where we grow up forms our sensitivity to the world around us. Since childhood, I’ve been instinctively drawn to landscapes full of mountainous peaks—places that feel familiar and grounding. The textile curtains I create serve both a decorative and artistic purpose. Their geometric abstraction is inspired by landscapes and the world around us. I wanted to capture how our surroundings can shift rapidly—sometimes leaving behind only blurred shapes and fleeting impressions. But what truly matters continues to guide us: love, home, and the Sun.
